1996 BMW RHD 323i 15,000 Miles *SOLD*
Our second lowest mile import to date, with a touch under 15,000 original miles. This is a Japanese market special model, the BMW 323i M Tech. This car received the M Sport treatment inside and out, making it look fantastic at every angle. Everything feels new on this E36, unused, and ready for a lifetime of smiles and miles. Want to know what an E36 smelled, felt, and drove like new? Look no further.
Exterior: Cosmos Schwarz, a color with loads of purple and blue flake, shined up amazingly after our quick paint correction. There is zero clear coat failure, zero repaint. This cars paint thickness measured at OEM spec all around. There is a minor scuff on the front corner of the drivers send fender, we think this was from its time being stored, you would not notice this initially but can be seen upon close inspection. All body panels line up perfectly, the M Sport front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts and spoiler have never been removed or altered and still sport the OEM hardware. All glass is original, no replacements or signs of damage. This car is bone stock, sitting on OEM M Sport wheels with Nankang tires. The European market glass headlights are the icing on the cake, with no pitting or chipping. There is no rust on this car, no denting or dings.
Interior: The European cloth on leather interior is one of our favorites, as you get the pros of each material. The cloth inserts are in perfect condition, there is zero sign of wear front and back. The leather bolsters look as if they are brand new, no creasing or stretching can be found on these seats. The leather is insanely soft and not dry or mistreated. The carpet is mint condition, with OEM shag style floor mats front and back. These are manual sport seats, so no worries of breaking seat motors, all adjustments work perfectly as well. Door cards are experiencing the usual E36 glue failure on the cloth inserts, the cloth itself is in great shape are is the door cards as a whole. The headliner is also sagging due to the poor quality in glue BMW used back in the day, however no attempts to “pin” it have been performed so its in perfect condition and ready for some fresh glue. All electronics work as if it was new, with cold ac and hot heat. Blowers have zero squeaks, chassis has no rattles or chirps. OBC is not missing a single pixel and works absolutely perfect, the check control notes that all is healthy and happy. OEM radio works spot on, as do the original speakers. Cluster is as expected, no scratching or scuffing on the plastic. The airbag light is on, as is an intermittent ABS light which we assume is related to a wheel speed sensor as braking is functioning perfectly. All windows and sunroof open and close as they should.
Mechanical: A peppy, high revving M52b23 is snug under the hood, with zero modifications, leaks, odd smells or noises. This car fires up, idles with no excess valve or belt noise. The cooling system works perfectly, even in warm weather with spirited driving. The engine bay overall is near immaculate, all plastics show no signs of drying out or cracking. All hoses are in great condition as well. Gaskets show no sign of cracking, leaking or failure. The car pulls hard in every gear, automatic transmission being smooth and predictable in both Economy and Sport modes. Suspension is extremely smooth, but can handle corners with great turn in and a planted feeling. Theres loads of clearance being on stock suspension, so you can drive in confidence knowing you won’t bottom out or scrape. No knocking or clunking from the driveline, brakes are smooth and consistent as well. All in all, the car drives fantastic for its age.
This vehicle will be sold with an Oregon title in the buyers name. We can assist in shipping anywhere in USA.
