2000 BMW 525i M Sport

$11,800.00

One of very few, now legal, cloth over Alcantara interior fitted E39’s, now available! This spec started in 2000, and is an amazing piece of BMW’s history. Running and driving beautifully, sitting on Potenza RE71R’s, ready to rip! We have driven this car quite a bit, around 500 miles, and it’s been a treat. This is a right hand drive, M Sport 525i E39 with 55,000 original miles.

Exterior: This car presents very nicely from all angles, with no body damage or clear coat failure. The M Sport kit is a OEM fitted option so no shoddy fitting or hardware. Bumpers, skirts, and rear spoiler are all in amazing shape. This is a stock car, so no modifications were made, the way it sits is how it left the factory. M sport wheels are wrapped in a fantastic summer performance tire with plenty of life left. Early model headlights are in great shape and help bring the cars period correct look to life. There is some usual signs of wear in the paint. We managed to buff most of this out during our paint correction.

Interior: I’m telling you, this Alcantara/Cloth sport interior is worth it all. Seats are in amazing condition with zero rips or tears (which is insane with these sport seat bolsters, commonly the Alcantara rips on the drivers side). All seat adjustments work perfectly, no twisting or tweaking. Titanium trim is also in great shape, the center console piece is raising slightly but can likely be massaged back to level with the shift surround. M sport steering wheel is in amazing shape with a manual height adjustment. No lights on the dash, no pixels missing. All gauges and dials work perfectly as they should. Climate control is spot on in this one as well, wicked hot heat and cold AC. Blowers are quiet and in very good health. Rear seats are also in amazing shape, no rips or tears. Carpets are clean, as is headliner. This is a sunroof car, it opens and closes as it should. All other windows also open and close as they should. Door cars are clean, fabric is tight, no areas of concern here. There are some pixels missing on the radio face, but most folks replace this for an aftermarket unit regardless. The center console arm rest does have cracking plastic in the center trim, thats about the only other defect we can find.

Mechanical: The M54b25 under the hood runs amazingly well, getting great gas mileage and having ample power. It fires up instantly, no smoking or odd noises. It also is not leaking or consuming oil. Temperatures are always at operating or below, never going over regular temps. This is a stock motor with very low mileage and therefor is ready for many, many miles to come. Idle is quiet, smooth and lacks any hesitations or hiccups. The transmission is tight, shifting exactly when it should. Suspension is factory M Sport lowering springs. All other mechanical components work perfectly, including central locking. Steering is heavy as it should be, we find that it could benefit from some bushing refreshing in the front as it will want to pull slightly if there are aggressive ruts in the road. This is not an urgent need, it can be driven absolutely fine as is. All in all the car is mechanically spot on and can be a daily driver immediately, as we used it. There is zero rust or corrosion on this car.

A fantastic example of a time capsule e39, ready for its next home. This car is sold with a clean Oregon title in the buyers name.
