Fresh in, our second RHD E46 import! This 1999 318i is peak opposite spec in relation to what we saw in the US. Instead of a 6 cylinder, this slick top chassis features the fuel efficient and peppy M43 4 cylinder. Pair this with a 5 speed, upgraded suspension, manual cloth sport interior and a nice set of wheels/tires and you have an amazing daily! This car is ready to go!

Exterior: Good ol’ BMW Alpine White, you can’t go wrong. Paint is in overall great condition for the car being over 25 years old. Some scuffs or dings but nothing that jumps out at you. Panels line up nicely, no signs of respray. BMW emblems are a bit tired and in need of refreshing, small inward dent on the rear drivers quarter panel (PDR could absolutely correct this). No clear coat failure anywhere on the vehicle. This specific example boasts M3 styled bumpers, skirts and rear spoiler. I’d assume these are of high quality, likely a name brand tuning company from the early 2000’s. Wheels are of Japanese make and unknown model, tires are brand new and fitted within our ownership. Fantastic fitment on this car, but not too aggressive as to where its tough in rough road conditions. There is no rust or corrosion on this car.

Interior: Our favorite part of this car is the interior, as we love a good non American market cloth option. This interior in particular is a sport spec with more aggressive bolstering in amazing condition with no rips or tears front or back. These seats are also manual, so no pesky seat motors failing or twisting. Carpet is very clean, car does come with a set of aftermarket front black floor-mats. Trim is that of a ZHP and in great shape. Console area is healthy and clean, usual scratches on the old plastic but nothing that stands out. Heat is hot, AC is cold. Radio works beautifully however the volume dial is intermittent, perfect excuse to go with an aftermarket head unit. We used a Cassette to AUX and it worked perfectly. No lights on on the dash, all gauges working perfectly. Headliner is pinned in place due to sagging, something we see with nearly all of our imports. All windows functional as they should with auto up and down working correctly. Central locking is also spot on. Some wind noise does enter the cabin at high speeds due to a cracking window seal on the windshield.

Mechanical: No leaks, smoking, odd noises, or smells. M43’s are notoriously tough motors, this one having such low mileage means its ready for the miles. Car fires right up every time with no hesitation, idles perfectly and pulls strong through every gear. Clutch is very healthy, as are brakes (which look to have been done very recently). Suspension is tight, Racing Dynamics shocks and springs fitted by a prior owner. We threw a new battery in upon arrival as well. Transmission is notchy and lacks any usual wear or play, a M Sport gear shifter from a later model has been fitted as well. A Supersprint exhaust adds a nice bit of tone to the 4 cylinder and makes for a sportier drive. All fluids are topped off, no overheating or cooling concerns.

Overall this car is ready to go, whether it be for daily driver duty or lightweight canyon carver. This vehicle is sold with a clean Oregon title in the buyers name.
