When a local legend in the automotive, film and general bad ass-ery world DM’s us asking if we want to consign their high mile hero E36 M3, we don’t hesitate to say “come on by!”. When this E36 rolled up to our shop, we couldn’t resist just outright snagging it for ourselves on the spot. In an attempt to not be greedy, we’ve decided to silently list this car on our website and our website only, because in all honesty, we love it far too much to list on our usual platforms. This has been our shop daily and overall ripper for the last couple of weeks, and it has been nothing short of fantastic. This is a high mileage car, so if you’re a person who gets scared by that, this ones not for you. If you’re an enthusiast who purchases off of meticulous maintenance records, previous owners and general condition, keep reading because we have quite the car for you. She’s sitting at 253,xxx miles, but feels like the day she rolled off the assembly line.

We have an excel spreadsheet (we’ll attach a screen grab) from its last long term owner who recorded every fuel up, every longitude and latitude for every single purchase related to this car. Its insane. The service history is intensely meticulous. And don’t worry, this E36 M3 has had a fresh cooling system thrown in, a full head refresh, and brand new KW V2 coilovers installed, amongst the dozens of other things performed in the last 50k miles.

Exterior - The paint is in fantastic shape, we were told it was refreshed at some point in its life. Zero clear coat failure, zero scrapes or dings, its as straight as an arrow. The color is stunning in all lights, loaded with that good ol’ blue and purple flake that BMW loves. The body of this E36 M3 is fully stock, sporting the factory fitted Lux front bumper, M Contours wrapped in Pilot Sports, and a Stromung exhaust poking out the rear bumper. A full Euro conversion was performed with clear corners, clear tails, and Depo glass headlights. We threw a 50th anniversary BMW emblem on the front to replace the original which had a chip, we’ll likely be snagging a new OEM replacement soon.

Interior - Being a Lux pack M3-4,-5, this has the standard sport seats with wood trim. All in all the interior is in amazing shape, we have zero complaints. The front seats are both working perfectly, and they have been re done (quite well, if we must add). All other various electronics work absolutely as they should. There isn’t a single button in this car that doesn’t work. This E36 does have the most insane head unit we’ve ever seen in this chassis, fitting in the original radio slot is a slim, Apple Car Play touch screen unit that works beautifully, paired to the OEM HK speakers. Its wild having such high tech in an old car, without it looking too flashy. Kudos to the PO for this. Rear seats are in nice shape, with some small seam tears where they join in tight areas, but the leather itself is happy and moisturized. Heat, AC etc all work perfectly. No lights on the dash, check control is OK with no warnings. A custom rewrapped 3 spoke Euro style sport steering wheel has been fitted, as with a matching shift boot and ZHP weighted knob.

Mechanical - This is where this M3 shines. She fires right up, leaks nothing, consumed nothing, pulls like a freight train and sounds killer. This is why we snagged this car for ourselves, because it was too good to pass up. Engine wise this is a bone stock car, exactly what we appreciate. This is not an E36 M3 that was tossed around multiple owners who did less than ideal modifications, this car has been cared for by adult owners its whole life. We have zero complaints about how this car drives, it is an absolute treat. A fresh Liqui Moli oil change was performed prior to us taking ownership, and the KW V2 coilovers were installed by our friends at Fit Garage in Bend very recent as well. There is a short shifter, likely an older UUC model fitted. Regarding maintenance, we’ll let the PO’s records speak for itself.

All in all we hate to see this car go because it is so solid, and we know thats a rare thing to find nowadays. But, we can’t hold onto anything too long or else we’ll want to keep it forever.

We have a clean title for this E36 ready to go!
